The Route

Saturday 3rd May – Day zero:

Registration, Registration, Registration! No you’re not back at school but this bit’s important. The rally organisers will be in a hotel in Calais (TBC) between 6pm and midnight, registering teams, checking they all have the appropriate paper work with them, dishing out some goodies but mostly welcoming everyone on board and getting into the spirit of things. You will not be able to take part unless registration has taken place.

Sunday 4th May – Day one:

Calais to Nurburg: This is a nice and gentle days worth of driving, cutting up north-east through France into Belgium before dropping into the Netherlands. The motorways are easy going and you will soon reach the Autobahns of Germany. From here it’s only a short blast to Nurburg!

Monday 5th May – Day Two:

The Nurburgring: After some good rest and a surprise organised by Team GTI Challenge, it’s on to ‘the green hell’. The ‘ring is one of the most taxing circuits in the world and will test both you as a driver and your chariot of fire. But don’t get cocky, the Nurburgring has a nasty sting in its tail.

Tuesday 6th May – Day Three:

Nurburg to Bolzano: The longest days worth of driving, but after the day before all you’ll want to do is sit back, relax and chomp through some motorway miles. However, there is a light at the end of the tarmac tunnel in the form of the Stelvio Pass. Think James Bond DB5, think Italian Job and Alpine passes and you’re there. Hairpins aplenty as we roll into our penultimate stop.

Wednesday 7th May – Final Day:

Bolzano to Monaco: With the finish in sight it’s another easier days worth of driving as we head to one of the most exclusive places in the world. Playing host to one of F1’s trickiest races and being home to some of the swankiest casinos, you’ll no doubt feel like Mr Bond himself when you cross the finish and attend GTI Challenges very own closing party.
